Launch of the 360° Labour Mobility Programme – Railway-free for a modern concept for the immigration of skilled workers

The alliance has launched! This much is certain, the train has started!

On 28.07.2023, the "360° Labour Mobility Alliance" finally launched its long-planned concept, thus releasing the official start of the 360° Labour Mobility programme.

The 360° Labour Mobility Alliance, as the initiators of the multifaceted concept call themselves, consists of more than 15 civil society institutions whose focus is on development cooperation, international understanding, migration law and the immigration of skilled workers. The alliance members include NGOs, social enterprises, law firms etc., which have a nationwide and international presence.

The name reveals the approach, because 360° Labour Mobility provides a holistic solution for the migration of skilled workers. Starting in the countries of origin, the programme opens up opportunities for pre- integration and orientation measures in order to simplify legal entry options for potential foreign skilled workers. On the one hand, the concept relies on professional advice and support, and on the other hand, on the transfer of experience, especially by the migrants themselves.

Participants in the programme will then receive full support during their first year in Germany, which extends to managing the challenges of residency law and employment, as well as their social and societal arrival. Also, volunteer return and local perspectives in the countries of origin are to be expanded.

The crowning glory of the celebration was the live signing of the Memorandum of Understanding MoU and the presentation of the new look with the unifying alliance logo.

The concept is unique in its nature. This is because it not only takes into account the interests of the immigrant professionals themselves, but also integrates other actors such as authorities, countries of origin, employers and migrant organisations right away. Breaking down barriers and exploiting potential! This is the motto behind the slogan "With You, For You".

The concept is already being positively received. Discussions are currently underway with various ministries and government institutions at the federal and state levels. If the concept is accepted, this could be the breakthrough in the history of orderly migration and skilled labor immigration!

"There is a big task ahead of us, but with this strong team, we will make it", the promising closing words of the alliance, which gives a lot of hope for a sustainable solution to the challenging issue of the shortage of skilled workers.
