Project Launching Event
In Kenya, where over 51% of the citizens don´t own any insurance at all, it is quite certain, that accessibility to proper health and rescue services in emergencies, still remains a privilege of just but a few. On the other hand, sicknesses, accidents and various injuries have become the order of the day. However, many people, especially the uninsured, shy away from seeking proper medical attention or call for help in right time, for fear of costs attached. This delay in seeking the necessary help at the appropriate time often leads to severe course of primarily minor complaints. For example, a minor injury could even lead to death, while the victim still struggles with self-medication, or a small fire ends up damaging the full neighbourhood, while the residents struggle to put it off with small buckets of water. Besides, the poor infrastructure and lack of know-how among the citizens contributes to the fact, that in the event of emergency, the aid usually does not come in time, e.g. by accidents, fire outbreak, floods, poisoning, burns, faints, chocks, allergies, etc.

Especially for the children, any delayed help could mean a fatal end!!!

Our response to this community challenge is – Sensitization, Training and Rescue.

In this respect, our TSAS Rescue Team at “Key To Life Kenya” (Think Smart Act Smart Rangers), under the training and mentorship by German Doctors, Paramedics and Fire Brigade, have dedicated themselves to (1) perform regular hazard assessments in the community, (2) continuously create community awareness on healthy living, (3) educate the citizens on basic first aid measures in various spheres, and (4) carry out rescue operations in emergencies.

The TSAS Rescue Team renders their services to the immediate community as non-profit organization.
Our trainers are dedicated to transformation, and the Rescue Team devoted to being ambassadors of help!
Every single life is worth fighting for!!!
