Ghana Chapter: 360° Labour Mobility Programme Events

The 360° Labour Mobility Programme supports young talents in Ghana and Nigeria as they prepare for sustainable career pathways, both locally and internationally. The programme is built around one simple idea: talent needs more than ambition.
It needs the right information, the right networks, the right guidance and the confidence to take the next step.
Across Ghana, Nigeria and Germany, the programme brings together young professionals, diaspora actors, employers, institutions and partner organisations to create better informed, fairer and more sustainable pathways into the world of work. Through career readiness support, mentorship, peer learning, institutional exchange and access to practical opportunities, the programme helps young talents move from preparation to possibility.

The Ghana Chapter in Action

In Ghana, the 360° Labour Mobility Programme has grown into a dynamic space for learning, connection and opportunity.
The Ghana Chapter brings the programme to life through practical events, onboarding sessions, career fairs, peer-to-peer exchange, institutional visits and alumni engagement.
Each activity is designed to support young talents not only in building professional skills, but also in strengthening confidence, understanding their options and connecting with people and institutions that can help open doors.
From Accra to Cape Coast, the Ghana Chapter shows what the programme stands for: preparation, connection,
visibility and opportunity.
Building Pathways, One Cohort at a Time
The Ghana Chapter has welcomed several cohorts of young talents into the 360° Labour Mobility Programme, with each cohort beginning its journey through a structured onboarding process. These onboarding moments introduce participants to the programme, the support available to them and the wider network of partners behind the initiative.
The Third Cohort Onboarding Ceremony, held in Accra in May 2026, marked the start of a new journey for young Ghanaian talents preparing for career opportunities in sectors such as IT and hospitality. With the GAaNF-Ghana team present in Accra and partners joining virtually from Nigeria and Germany, the event reflected the cross-border spirit of the programme and the strong support system surrounding the participants.
Earlier cohorts have also reached important milestones. The First and Second Cohort Closing Ceremonies celebrated young talents as they completed the structured phase of the programme and moved into GAaNF’s growing Alumni network. These ceremonies showed that the end of a cohort is not the end of the relationship. Participants remain connected to GAaNF, to one another and to the wider 360° Labour Mobility community.
Learning Beyond the Classroom

A key strength of the Ghana Chapter is its focus on learning through real interaction. The Peer to Peer Networking and Empowerment Excursion in Cape Coast brought together young talents from different cohorts for two days of exchange, reflection and confidence-building.
The excursion created space for participants to learn from one another, share experiences, strengthen workplace communication skills and connect with GAaNF’s wider network, including the University of Cape Coast. It also linked professional development with Ghana’s educational, cultural and historical heritage, reminding participants that career growth is not only about skills. It is also about identity, confidence and community.
From Preparation to Opportunity
The Accra Job and Career Fair 2025 showed how the Ghana Chapter connects preparation with real access. The fair brought young talents into direct contact with employers, government institutions, international organisations and private-sector actors from areas such as IT, hospitality and banking.
Participants received practical career support through CV clinics, professional headshots, recorded elevator pitches and information sessions on employment rights and labour mobility pathways. These activities helped turn preparation into something visible and usable: stronger applications, better self-presentation and clearer information about the opportunities available
to them.
For many young talents, the challenge is not ambition. It is access. The Accra Job and Career Fair helped bridge that gap by creating direct links between young professionals and the institutions, employers and support structures that can help them
move forward.
A Growing Community

Together, these events tell the story of a programme that is growing with every cohort. The Ghana Chapter of the 360° Labour Mobility Programme is building more than a series of activities. It is creating a community of young talents who are better prepared, better connected and better informed as they navigate their career paths.
Through onboarding, career support, peer exchange, institutional partnerships and alumni engagement, the Ghana Chapter continues to strengthen sustainable labour mobility pathways between Ghana, Nigeria and Germany while keeping young talents at the centre of the journey.
What’s Next
The journey continues. The Ghana Chapter is building on the momentum of its recent events with more spaces for learning, exchange, visibility and career connection.
Upcoming activities include a Job Peer to Peer Event, where young talents will continue learning from one another and strengthening their professional networks. In August, the programme will host an in-person Training of Trainers and Exchange, bringing together key actors to deepen collaboration and strengthen programme delivery. Looking ahead GAaNF is also preparing a joint job fair with GIZ Ghana, creating another important opportunity to connect young talents with employers, institutions and career pathways.
These upcoming events reflect what the Ghana Chapter stands for: practical support, trusted networks and real opportunities for young talents to grow with confidence.
Stay tuned for many more updates from the Ghana Chapter and the wider 360° Labour Mobility Programme as we continue building bridges between talent, opportunity and sustainable labour mobility.
