Recognition and Visa Options for Skilled Workers

As part of the 360° Labour Mobility Programme, GAaNF organised a practical information session on recognition and visa options for skilled workers from Ghana and Nigeria, with a particular focus on young talents in the IT and Hospitality sectors.
The session addressed an important question that many skilled professionals face when considering international career opportunities: What does it actually take to work in Germany, and where should the process begin?
Together with El Mostafa Sghir, LL.M., participants explored key aspects of recognition procedures, visa and residence pathways, and available counselling services. The session was designed to provide clear, practical and accessible information, not as abstract legal guidance, but as part of a real decision-making process for young talents preparing for possible labour mobility pathways.
For many participants, the session offered valuable orientation on the steps, requirements and support structures connected to working in Germany. It helped clarify common questions around qualifications, recognition, documentation and the importance of early preparation.
This activity reflected the core purpose of the 360° Labour Mobility Programme: to support young talents with clearer information, stronger preparation and more informed next steps. By creating spaces for practical guidance and direct exchange, GAaNF continued its work to make labour mobility more transparent, realistic and accessible for those exploring opportunities abroad.
