The first cohort closing ceremony marked a defining moment for the Ghana Chapter of the 360° Labour Mobility Programme. Held in Accra on 29 November 2025, the ceremony celebrated the first group of young talents completing the structured programme phase and moving into GAaNF’s Alumni network.

Young talents from Ghana and Nigeria took part in the hybrid ceremony, with participants in Accra connected to colleagues and partners in Germany. The event marked the end of the first cohort’s formal programme journey, but also introduced a new phase of continued engagement through alumni connection, peer exchange and long-term support.

A key part of the ceremony was a panel discussion with young talents and representatives of the 360° Alliance. The discussion created space for honest reflection on the first cohort’s experience, including what worked well, what could be improved and how young professionals experience labour mobility opportunities in Ghana and Nigeria.

The conversation also highlighted the importance of tailored support. While young talents across Ghana and Nigeria may share similar ambitions, their local labour market realities, institutional environments and professional pathways can differ. These reflections offered valuable lessons for the Ghana Chapter and for the design of future programme cycles.

For GAaNF, the closing of the first cohort was not an ending.
It was the beginning of a longer relationship with the participants through the Alumni network. The event created the foundation for a growing community of young professionals and set the tone for future cohorts under the 360° Labour Mobility Programme.
