Peer to Peer Networking and Empowerment Excursion

28 February to 01 March 2026 | Cape Coast, Ghana

As part of the Ghana Chapter’s commitment to peer learning and long-term support, GAaNF hosted a Peer to Peer Networking and Empowerment Excursion in Cape Coast from 28 February to 01 March 2026. The two-day event brought together young talents from the first and second cohorts of the 360° Labour Mobility Programme, creating space for exchange, confidence-building and stronger connections across programme cycles.

At the heart of the excursion was peer connection. Cohort 1 and Cohort 2 participants came together to share experiences, ask questions and reflect on their individual journeys. For many members of Cohort 2, the excursion was also their first opportunity to meet GAaNF’s wider network in person, including representatives from GAaNF headquarters, the Ghana and Nigeria teams, the 360° Alliance and the University of Cape Coast.

The programme also included practical professional development sessions focused on confidence-building and effective workplace communication. These sessions supported participants in strengthening the soft skills they need to present themselves clearly, communicate professionally and navigate future work environments with greater confidence.

A meaningful part of the excursion was the visit to the University of Cape Coast and the surrounding region.
This connected the participants’ professional journey with Ghana’s educational, cultural and historical heritage, while also strengthening GAaNF’s relationship with UCC as an important institutional partner in Ghana.

For the Ghana Chapter, the Cape Coast excursion showed that professional growth is not only about training. It is also about community, confidence, identity and access to trusted networks. The connections built during the excursion continue to support young talents as they move through the wider labour mobility journey.
